Pioneer is a Japanese company that was originally founded by Nozomu Matsumoto in 1937. It originally started out as a shop that sold and repaired radios and speakers. Today it is one of the biggest names in the consumer electronics market. They have been heavily involved in the developments in many different types of electronic goods including compact discs, DVD’s and GPS navigation. From creating the first ever separate stereo system in 1962, Pioneer have always been synonymous with creating amazing audio products, and this is certainly the case for all of the DJ equipment that they have made.
The Birth of Pioneer DJ
With so much experience in the electronic audio industry, it was almost inevitable that Pioneer started to create DJing equipment. It’s real introduction into the market was in 1994 when it created the CDJ-500. Interestingly, mainly because it has always been associated with being at the forefront of technology, Pioneer DJ never produced any DJ equipment that could be used with vinyls, it only produced equipment that could use CD’s. Obviously that was a very smart move, considering that almost every DJ today uses some sort of CDJ rather than the more traditional vinyls.
Excellent Quality
Pioneer has always created products of a very high standard, and Pioneer DJ is no different. As Pioneer has always been at the front of technological change within the consumer and audio electronics industry, it spends a great deal of its time and money on Research and Development. This gives the modern DJ the edge over his peers. Pioneer DJ manufactures equipment that is used by some of the biggest names in the music industry. Reliable and well-made, Pioneer DJ equipment is a popular choice for professional and amateur DJs alike. Notable models include the Pioneer CDJ-2000, the Pioneer CDJ-900 and the Pioneer DDJ Ergo.
