A DJ Effects unit or FX Unit is a device that changes or manipulates the tone or sound of an input signal from external sound sources eg decks, cd players or software programmes. Typical uses of these would be in conjunction with exisitng dj kit to get effects such as beat loops, filters, echoes and more.
